Fun with Saturated Solutions

Sodium Thiosulfate can be dissolved in water in very small test tubes to form supersaturated solutions. The Heat Solution can be used to demonstrate supersaturated sodium acetate. The Heat Solution can be purchased at Campmor. Kids are fastinated when the acetate crystallizes out. In both cases endothermic and exothermic processes can be discussed.
